Maritime Bunkering Ltd is the Rix Group’s dedicated marine fuel supply business. Part of one of the UK’s longest-established family-owned business groups, we deliver high-quality marine fuels to vessels of all sizes, from local craft to large vessels.

We operate a fleet of company owned bunker barges servicing ports typically between the port of Leith and Harwich, occasionally we’ll venture beyond subject to availability. Also strategically located at Grimsby we have 3 x 100 m3 capacity self-service facilities for Marine Gas Oil ideally suited to the Offshore Wind and Fishing sectors. . Through the Rix Group’s wider infrastructure, we benefit from access to road tankers. In addition, we can arrange tailored deliveries to meet varied logistical requirements outside of our own sites through third party partnerships.

The grades Maritime Bunkering supply regularly are DMA 0.1% Sulphur Marine Gas Oil (MGO), Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) (subject to availability), Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) and biofuels. Proof of Sustainability (POS’s) can be provided to customers through the International Sustainability Carbon Certification Scheme (ISCC) which we are proud to have achieved. The ISCC provides evidence of the whole supply chain embracing rigorous sustainability standards.
