Early Warning Signs

It is one thing to know there is a danger and that something serious has been noticed, but the timing of when you are told is equally important. Take the family arriving at this beach. After a long drive with excited kids on a hot day, the first thing they want to do is run in to the tranquil sea and relax. But there is a warning sign. There is a known threat of sharks present in this bay. But could they have known sooner? Could they have had more information about the actual level of threat and possible alternatives and ways to mitigate the danger?

It is the same with fuel alerts and notifications for off-spec fuels in a port. The data available is vast and the specific technical information can be obtained for those companies who pay for the various packages on offer by testing companies. But an early warning system accompanied by access to a team of industry experts available to discuss with you would be even more helpful. Through a truly collaborative approach, the MFA is inviting existing and new members to join a Technical Consultancy Team. We will harmonise how buyers, suppliers and experienced professionals come together in a forum to consider specific cases and work with each other to find better means to manage some of the ‘known-knowns’ and ‘known unknowns’ that can make all the difference before fixing that next stem.

Sailing in to off-spec infested ports can be avoided or better managed through sharing of resources and fast access to the links and experts you need.
