In recent weeks, we have been calling Bunker Suppliers in the MFA and discussing some of the main issues causing them concern in the present market. It is worth noting that the majority of topics raised are not new or linked to any complicated regulation or procedures to be followed. Rather, it is the ongoing struggle to solve basic yet fundamental problems that surround a bunker enquiry, supply and post-fixture. Similarly, in conversation with one of our Insurance brokers, they note a rise in bunker quality claims and demands for de-bunkering, a matter they wish to address in the New Year on a Podcast with us.

Bunker debts remain one of the most critical issues to handle. The considerations to be made and processes to be followed and in what order are the issues that companies are facing. There is clearly the need for companies to reach out to a wider audience and seek alternate opinions and find new strategies to tackle areas of their operation causing the most stress and financial losses.
