New EU sanctions specifically prohibit the bunkering 27 vessels. Going forward, the list of vessels shall include vessels that:
- Supported Russia’s defence & security sector.
- Transported crude oil & oil products from Russia while practising high-risk shipping practises.
- Supported Russia’s energy sector.
- Loaded grain “stolen” from Ukraine.
- Transported goods from the EU to Russia that are subject to an export ban.
- Was operated in such a way that facilitates violation or circumvention of sanctions.
- Are owned, chartered, or operated by entities sanctioned by the EU.
